John
Tyler graduated from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania
in 1968 with a B.A. in Economics and subsequently served as an officer
in the U.S. Navy. He received the Juris Doctor degree from Emory
University School of Law in 1973, where he earned the American Jurisprudence
awards in Corporate Taxation, Taxation of Corporate Reorganizations,
and Trial Practice.
After
graduating from Emory, John joined the international accounting firm of Arthur
Andersen & Co. where he practiced international tax planning and compliance. In
1976, he joined the Carter-Mondale Presidential Campaign where he served as
Assistant Controller for the Campaign. In 1977, he joined the staff of the
Regional and District Counsel of the Internal Revenue Service where he represented
the IRS in U.S. Tax Court, as well as in handling criminal tax and collection
matters. In 1979, John joined an Atlanta law firm where he later became a partner,
practicing primarily in the issues of tax controversies, real estate, corporation,
partnership and personal tax planning. From 1984 to 2005, John was a partner
at the law firm of Jackson & Tyler, LLP. He and A.J. Rollins formed Tyler &
Rollins in 2005.
He is a member of the American Bar Association (member, section on taxation),
the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Association
of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
John's personal interests include baseball, snow skiing and religious
art history.

Anthony
J. Rollins graduated Cum Laude from Wake Forest University in
1996 with a degree in History and a double major in Political Science
as well as a minor in Italian. While at Wake Forest he studied abroad
at Casa Artom in Venice, Italy.
A.J. graduated with Honors from Emory University School of Law in 1999. While at Emory he served as the
Articles Editor of the Emory International Law Review and interned with the Federal
Trade Commission, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and the U.S.
House of Representatives Committee on International Relations.
A.J. has appeared in tax matters before the 4th and 11th Circuit Courts of Appeal as well as the U.S. Tax Court
and several U.S. District Courts. In addition he has extensive experience working
with the IRS and the Georgia Department of Revenue.
He is a member of the American Bar Association (section on taxation),
the Atlanta Bar Association and the Atlanta Tax Forum.
A.J.'s personal interests include college basketball, travel and modern
literature.
